At JACOB LAW, estate and probate work offers a scope and depth that is anything but traditional.
We are a Canadian-German law firm with nearly 30 years of cross border legal work between Canada and Germany. Estate law and probate work play a central role. Our practice offers tailored and legally sound solutions across jurisdictions to individuals in complex cross-border matters.
We have successfully represented clients before German and Canadian courts, achieving precedent-setting decisions that have strengthened clarity and legal certainty in Canadian-German matters.
To strengthen our team on a long-term basis, we are looking for a:

Why Join Us?
Our cases are unique. They require exceptional people. We offer:
- Cases with character. No cookie-cutter cases—real cross-border matters where German and Canadian law meet.
- Quality over volume. We don’t chase hours. We work precise, thoughtfully—and to a high standard.
- Direct line, not hierarchy. You speak with clients, not through layers. Decisions are made as a team.
- Own your case. If you take a matter on, you own it—with room to shape strategy. No rigid playbooks, no big-law micromanagement.
- Learning by doing—done right. No months of watching from the sidelines; you get real mentoring from experienced lawyers.
- Canada connection included. Our cases cross borders, and our team is bilingual – or more. English and German are part of daily practice, along with openness and teamwork.
- Work-life reality. Regular working hours, predictable evenings, and a culture that values life beyond the office.
- Downtown Schwabing. We’re right in the middle—ice-cream shops, restaurants, and shops on the doorstep. Perfect for lunch or after work.
- Easy commute. Subway, tram, and buses are just steps away.
- An office dog who is very much part of the team. For practical reasons though, we cannot welcome additional dogs.
Start Date:
- Beginning 2026 – preferably 15.01.2026 or 01.02.2026
Work model:
